New to the forum, im from Serbia. My name is Nikola and i have two birds. Agaporis and lutino rosenkolis. Reason why i joined here is to find out more about care. And i hope find a solution for my lutino bird. Couple of days ago she went into a "regular" fight with another bird. Now she has some kind of wound on a back :(. Dont know what it is :(. I dont know if its infection or a wound for a "fight" :(

Hi welcome to the forum Nikola :). This is a great place to learn about your birds.

Is there a veterinarian around your area who specializes in birds? If not, even a regular small animal vet might be better than nothing. Is she acting fine? Eating and active as she normally is? If so, just keep watch on her if no vet is available. Of course finding a vet is the very best thing to do. Good luck!

Tnx for reply :), she is acting as usual. Eating, playing around, only thing is that she is scraching that wound on a back. I have veterinarian close to me, i have to find a way to transfer her in a smaller cage. They fight a lot, i want to separate them. But both of them are very very afraid of hands

It's definitely best to keep them in separate cages if they don't get along. I'm glad you can take her to see the vet. It's normal for her to be picking at the injury. Hopefully she'll be all better soon. Let us know...

Is the area still bleeding? On the picture it looks like there is still some blood, but it might just be me. If it is, you might need to towel her and apply flour, cornstarch (i use this), or Kwik Stop (made for bleeding) only in the meantime before a vet visit.

I didnt noticed any blood at all. Only that she does'nt have feather there. I dont know if its from a fight or she pulled it out. I manage to transfer male to another cage. They look happy and cant fight. Problem is with a male- green one. He is very jelous, i dont know why, there is almost everything double in a cage. Anyway, for some time they will be seperated, and happier.

Ok, they were in separate cages. I went outside for 3 hours. Female-yellow took out from a feeding basket to his cage. I guess love is stronger than anything :). So she is on his cage, dont wanna go. So i brought him back to main cage, just to find a way to put her back aswell. I bought some vitamins food and addons. I will give that according to instruction on a box. We shall see

The green one loves to peel branches. Do they eat them? They have that stone with calcium, do they need some kind of toy to chew? What kind of toy would be good for them? They have a big swing so both can swing and one hanging toy, which they used to use. Maybe they bored :(

Maybe get a second swing? My weiros used to fight about who got the swing, so I got more. Mine like millet sprays, and honey sticks (sometimes) and seed bars. You can try all sorts of things to see what they like. Also mix up their toys, sometimes take something out and swap it for something else.

Yesterday i bought new swing, some plastic one. I will mount it in a cage and see if they will play with it. Also i bought fruit sticks but they only peel them , they dont eat them. Some carbon addon for food and this, which they ate.
