I just got a parrot. Don't know whether or not it's an IRN or an Alexandrine.
I got it from a pet shop and the pet shop got it from a private breeder that hand-fed the parrot. It is very tame and I could pet it the first time I saw it in the pet shop. The people said it's about 4-5 months old. The breeder and the shop told me it's a "small Alexandrine" or "little Alexandrine", but after I searched google and saw videos and pictures I'm guessing that my parrot is an Indian Ringneck.
Most of the private breeders in my country have different colored "Alexandrine" parrots. Don't know why they call them Alexandrine since they are more probably IRN cause they are different colors (green, white, blue, yellow...). But I'm not a professional nor do I have some experience with medium sized parrots (I've only had 2 budges before). That's why I'm coming here for help. I'll post some bad quality pictures in my post and it would be great if you can help me figuring out what species it is. Is there some thing for me to look for to make sure what species it is?

I just want to know for sure just so I can research diets, behaviors. toys etc. But I'm guessing a diet for an IRN would work for an Alexandrine too, right?

Looks like ana IRN to me as well. Good luck with your new baby! Please spend lots of time on this forum, the advice you will find here is beyond compare.

First things you will need besides the right foods are some proper perches and a few toys to start off with. If you have any questions, just ask, there are many old hands here that can help.

Thank you for your answer. I always find it that animal-related forums are full of nice people, especially parrot-related. I'll stay here and read a lot, there's lots of things to read here
