Washington, DC native, retired with husband and living the dream in Indialantic, FL, a small island town located between the Indian River and Atlantic Ocean. Purchased a 4-mos old Sun Conure about 6 weeks ago from a breeder in Cocoa, FL, about 25 miles away. Also own a 2-yr old Miniature Poodle and a 1-yr old Italian Greyhound. So far so good with Screech. He/she is everything I'd hoped for in a pet bird. Spends most of his time on our large screened porch on tabletop and hanging gyms. Caged when we're not home and at night. Good eater. Tries everything and likes most everything he tries, with Apple, corn and kale stalks his favorite. Also feed mix of Zupreem pellets and seed, with tree nuts as treats. Plan to introduce him to local avian vet and get his toenails trimmed. Not sure whether to get him sexed or not.
