Hi everyone :)

I have been birdless for these past 6 years and high time to look into getting myself another friend. I've changed continents and grown older - the growing older part not so cool, the new continent amazing!

Being without a parrot once you have had one is rough! I did that in college (one reason why I don't encourage kids to get birds) and it was like my soul was starving. What kinds are you looking into?

Im researching senegals, amazons and quakers - any advice? - I created a thread about noisy breeds and am hoping for some helpful feedback. Amazon might be too loud?

Time factors - about 2 hours before work and about 3 hours in the evening of quality time - weekends most of the day. My idea at the moment is to tailor make an avery on the balcony that will be stimulating enough to keep the little one busy while I am work. Is that too little time for a parrot do you think? I was lucky before where I could spend hours a day with my previous parrot.

When going on holiday will look into flying the parrot with me or getting a sitter - about 3 to 4 times a year.

I had an African Brown Headed parrot so am very aware of training etc - not that I always got that one right - eek!!! Spoilt child!

Any advice folks? So appreciated!!!
