:rainbow1:Welcome! I am also a new member and mommy of Hero. Hero is a 3 month old gcc. He is an amazing companion to our family. We took our girls to the pet store for fish and ended up coming out of there with 2 beta fish and hero! he has been such a blessing he spends most of his time with us just playing and snuggling so far no vocalizations but his body language and personality are huge and easy to read. He's not much of a biter with though he loves to gently tug of war with you. We are so excited to see how his personality develops. Look forward to hearing more stories!!

Thanks!! As soon as I can figure out how to post pics I will! He's absolutely beautiful! We had a new experience today.... He decided I didn't need to be alone in the shower looks like I now have a shower buddy! Also we don't close his cage unless we leave he loves to play all over it. Is this something normal I love that I don't have to "cage" him what's your thoughts? :)

Here you go. :)

You have a water lover, that's great!

As long as your bird is safe outside of his cage, then I'd say let him enjoy himself. I cage my birds when there is no one home to supervise them. Check for possible health hazards if you haven't already, windows, doors, ceiling fans, electrical wires, mirrors. It's a good idea to show your bird around his new home, especially windows and mirrors, after he's seen them up close, he'll be less likely to fly into them if startled.

Hello and welcome. My first bird was a GCC as well. Alot of them do seem to love showers! Its great that you dont have to cage him! I wish I could do that. We would love pictures.
