Greetings.
I am a fairlt new parrot owner (4 month African Grey) . Named Gabriel.
so far it has been a learning curve. Sone surprizes like how she can destroy a new toy in a couple days and the latest....tossing her food dish to the bottom of her cage!!.
Hoping to get sone good advice from seasoned ownets.

Welcome Heather, this is a great community, with some very seasoned parronts. If you ask a specific question I am sure the folks who have greys will give you great advice or point you in the right direction.

Those are beginning tricks... just getting you warmed up for the good stuff!

Tusk doesn't dump his own bowls, but he isn't above throwing someone else's food bowl, especially if his buddy bird is paying attention to the food, when he wants to play...

Like, for example, the birdie equivalent of DING DONG DITCH...

Ringing the doorbell to see if you'll answer it.

The oven timer and microwave beep... "I thought I heard it go off."

The smoke alarm, of course, and worse, the low battery beep...

Is it real? Or is the bird messing with my head again?!

He can do my "Sarah, you're in trouble, get down here right now!" So well, that my daughter comes running...

No, you're not in trouble... Tusk was just messing with you...

My birds are Poop trained. My CAG has, on occasion, been known to give the "go poop" command, when I'm holding another bird, and he's mad at me... When it works, he dances and laughs at me.

CAGS are instigators. They have a high IQ. They study everything and everybody. They don't always let on what they know. (People occasionally act really funny when you aggravate them!)

Tusk is my most consistent practical joker.

Welcome to you and your gray, they are awesome companions! My father-in-law's gray was so good that he had learned their security system beeps and could deactivate it!
