Binx - Blue Headed Pionus (sex - unknown)
Hey all, I am D.C. I am new to this forum as well as parrot parentage. However, I had been researching a particular species for about a year before I felt I was prepared to take on the responsibility (never ending fun and chaos) of being owned by a parrot. I chose the Pionus because it fit my living situation and lifestyle. I have a very sweet Blue Headed Pionus named Binx. "He" is unsexed, but I currently refer to it as a him because I "it" is just to impersonal. I will be having a DNA test done on him in december. His hatchdate is 6/26/10 so he is very much a baby. He certainly keeps me on my toes. I don't know how I ever lived without him. I will try to get a picture up A.S.A.P. I feel that I am pretty knowledgable about him and birds in general, but there is always more to learn. I am always looking for new ways to keep him entertained. Please feel free to write me if you have any suggestions or comments. Thanks!
