Looks like Indian Ringneck from this, but front photo should show more details, acn't you take a photo of him from the front too?

Yeah I'm leaning towards Indian Ringneck as well, but struggling to be 100% from those two photos.
Congratulations on your new friend! What do you know about him/her?

I have a awesome cockatoo houseguest that I'm hoping will stay.
3 IRN's
4 pairs of GCC
4 pairs of cockatiels
3 pairs of bourkes and 4 extra males
2 pairs of Linnies
2 pairs of budgies
I do believe you have a young African ringneck

Yes I agree, Indian Ring Neck. Goof for you to have a new friend. A larger cage will be better for him. Big enough for him to spread his wings fully open. Welcome to the forum. If you have other questions ( good care, healthy food) please ask, we have many nice, experienced people here.

I agree with NFFH. African Ringneck. They have a darker maroon beak and slightly smaller build than the Indian.
