Hello there and Welcome to the site, I am a new member aswell, sounds like a lovely conure you got, I would love to see a picture of it? Might I ask if you got it from adoption or if the conure is bought.
:green2: <- I like this one myself.

I adopted her! She was turned in to my local shelter, poor dear.

What a lovely conure! You are very lucky to have found her, as the conure is to have found you.

Actually, the bird you have is a Jenday Conure. Suns have less green on their wings.

Welcome to the forum!! Lots of good people here.

ohhhhhh PRETTY.... i too, am new here....

Hello and Welcome to the site too, hope you enjoy your stay, I like the piggybacking on peoples Welcome message, makes it feel more of a friendly enviroment. What bird do you have, if I may ask.

Wow, you learn something new everyday... The rescue lady told me she was a sun... And the woman that turned her in told them she was a sun conure.

Thanks!

hehe, yes, you have a lovely Jenday there :D Quite a lot either bird can be listed as "Sun/jenday". They are so close that they can mate. It's very confusing!!! My sun baby is just over 5 months old now and looks very similar to yours as you will see. She's beginning her first molt now and her yellow is coming through in the green.

What a gorgeous bird Kiwi is!

Also, they are quieter than most sunnies ;)

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to all the new members. This is a great forum where you can learn and chat with people all over the world. Your bird will appreciate being in her new home after the boding process takes place. If you have any questions please ask us and be sure to take her to an avain vet for a check up as soon as she is settled in.

We already have an appointment for a well check up, Tuesday.

She is settling in really nicely. In fact, we are sharing an apple right now. She absolutely cracks me up, when I play music she dances, and she LOVES to give kisses. She also seems to think my hair was made for her to curl up in! Silly Bird! She has only bitten me one time, and I am sure it is because she was scared.

She puffs up when my Standard poodle comes near, but Lola( the spoo) is way more interested in bird treats than in Kiwi!
