Coco 10 month old adorable green cheek conure , got her :) 6 month ago, she learn a lot since
can anyone advice me , how to teach my otherwise friendly conure, not to bite my feet, or any feet in that matter ? She is biting to drawn a blood, she is actually attacking.
I have search utube, google, yahoo ... there is a lot about biting, but not the feet only ! otherwise she would nibble, not bite :)
I am new here and thank you all for this forum
:)

your bird should not be biting anything. Please read all of the bite pressure threads on this forum. The quicker she learns not two bite at all the better you will be.

Also... low tech solution... wear shoes. My ol' man does. My toes are apparently not so inflammatory to the Rb.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Welcome to the forums, Mila! Coco's biting can be managed with good techniques and diligence.

Here are a few threads to consider:

http://www.parrotforums.com/general-parrot-information/49144-tips-bonding-building-trust.html

The last one was written for macaws, but contains so much information that is applicable to all bird species: http://www.parrotforums.com/macaws/56384-big-beak-o-phobes-guide-understanding-macaw-beaks.html

Good luck, let us know if you see any progress!!

Does she understand that your feet are a part of you? Or are they scary foreign objects to her, that she is attacking?

If she knows your feet are part of you, does she understand she's hurting you by biting them?

Depending on her reasons for biting, the way for dealing with the problem might be different. Whichever the reason, wearing shoes is a good idea for now. If she's scared of your feet, encountering them is going to stress her out until you can hopefully get her to understand they're not hostile. Repeating the biting will reinforce the action, especially if she understands they're part of you, so it's wise to remove the opportunity for it in the first place.

This thread explains the last point really well:
