Long time lurker first time posting. I just got my new little buddy four days ago, a three month old Cinnamon Conure, and wanted a place to share my experiences and learn as much as I can.
As for my little guy, I havent named him although I keep calling him BooBoo for whatever reason... So far he is adapting quicker than I expected. He is having dinner at the table with us eating his little salad. He seems to LOVES all kinds of vegetables and fruit, so far Kale and apples are his favorite. He could care less about our dog and her barking. He is super cuddly and fell asleep in my cupped hand with his head on my thumb last night. He likes being covered by my hand and napping as well. His favorite place to perch seems to be my nose, I need to get his nails trimmed
He also likes a little rub under his wings. As I write this i'm trying to figure out the best way to clean poop from my keyboard as he seems very interested in what my hands are doing. He will sit on my should while I work at the computer without any fussing. I was very surprised at how quite he is. I know he's still getting use to things but for now he just grumbles a bit. He gives one big chirp when I put him to bed, that's about it. Hope to add as much as I can with your community... Thanks!
