Colocolo the Kolokolo Bird, Strigops habroptilus subsp. fortasse
Way too many budgerigars
Greetings all.
I am looking to be the proud father of a Blue & Gold macaw. He is 8 years old, talks, domesticated, and is being sold as the seller wanted a female to breed with his Scarlet - and the B&G turns out to be male. C'est la vie.
I have not collected him yet and am posting the two photos I have of him. He seems to have a nip on his wing (probably from the Scarlet), and a broken tail feather - I do not know if either issue is much to worry about. I would be much obliged if anyone spies any issues about which I should be concerned. Otherwise I think he is a healthy, happy bird.
We have a budgie in the house, and previously had a Quaker. The budgie will have his own cage. I am not sure how much interest a macaw and budgie will take in each other.
