Rio (Yellow sided conure) sadly no longer with us
for their first time it can take longer especially when they're clipped, in some cases nearing 5 years. Naturally if you have concerns over his health a little check up at your Certified Avian Vet will shed light on any issues if he does have any.

A tiels first molt is the most important to them, as that's the time they get a new and beautiful gradual "coat." Around 6 months would happen, some 12. After should have 2-3 a good molts a year, depending. As they are molting is when more nutrients are needed especially protein. They also appreciate having a bath too!
