Hello all-

I am Angela and we just recently got 2 love birds. They are babies, almost a month old.

I am have issues trying to name them... I didn't know naming something could be so hard! :yellow2:

Wow, not even a month old! Are they still eating formula? I suspect they may still be in that stage of trying new foods and adjusting to solids. Did you wean them or get them from a breeder? Possibly they were not socialized very much before you got them? More information would be helpful.

in my experience, birds like 2 syllables so for a love bird ...I dunno
Eros E-ros
Cupid Cu-pid
amie A-mEe (french for freind or close freind
a two syllable word would be good for recognition.

They are not eating formula still, they were completely hand raised and I actually bought them from a lady off of Facebook that breeds and hand raises all of them herself. Her and I have actual become goo friends. They are very social. I am not sure what you would like more information about, but let me know

I really wanted to name them Rickey and Lucy, but my bf doesn't like those names or any names I have mentioned for that matter.. ugh!

I have suggested:

Rickey and Lucy
Romeo and Juliet
Bonnie and Clyde
Juggao and Jugglette (ICP fans)
and many many more and he wants nothing to do with them.

My MIL also got a baby from the same clutch and she was named before my MIL even brought her home. Her name is Peaches, because she's part peach faced love bird and her face is peach.

Yes they are for sure the toughest! Glad my kids weren't so hard to name. Or they would have been without a name for 2 weeks lol

I had a pair of lovebirds briefly in my early 20s. I named them Christine and Raoul from Phantom of the Opera. I also had 2 hamsters - Cagney And Lacey. Mulder and Scully??

I just reread my post and they definitely weren't almost a month old. I think I meant to say that I have had them almost a month.

I am having issues figuring out how to post pics, I am totally confused by the process.

They have names now as well their names are Skye and Chase ( Paw Patrol Pups (brids)) LOL Kids named them!
