Currently I have none, but I have the capacity to adopt a minimum and maximum of two budgies - preferably a bonded pair or two males.
Hi All

Greetings! This is Avin from India. I joined this forum quite some time back but was not very active.

I am more into aquarium fish keeping than into birds, from a companion animal perspective. But when it comes to wild animals , I love birds and parrots best.

Currently I have a Cockatiel which landed up as an injured bird and was spotted by a neighbour and security guard.

cheers

A warm belated welcome, Avin! Thanks for rescuing Kaka, hope the injury has healed or is not life-threatening. We have a very active cockatiel contingent, feel free to post specific questions or concerns.

Hi Scott (and Clark)

Thanks for the welcome.

The injury was not very serious (I presume) a few feathers lost in the left wing and a bald rough pink patch near crest. S/he(don't know gender for sure) has healed completely now.

cheers

Avin

Long passed a welcome! Glad that ''Kaka'' the tiel was ''landed'' in to be cared for, and feathers grown/will eventually grow! Post pics of he/she, perhaps gender can even be sorted out!

Hi Sm birds

Thank you for response!

I would love to know the gender! Is the mirror test reliable? Enclosing the picture. Also I am not sure if he is clear pied or lutino. His eyes don't have the red glow of a lutino. They are more a deep maroonish brown. But at the same time clear pieds appear to be a very rare mutation compared to lutinos, so I am still not sure.

cheers
