My conure started sneezing repeatedly but I saw no discharge around her nose and appearance wise she seemed fine (I don’t know her gender but I call her a she). There are some dried fruit in her food bowl which I saw her eat then a few minutes later I saw her bob her head back and forth and throw up. The throw up has some seed and in an orange tint to it which I think is the dried fruit (papaya). I can’t tell whether she simply regurgitated or vomited. She’s shown no possible signs of illness before. Please help!

Note: she’s 4-5 months old

As the self-avowed Queen of Paranoia...

I'm alarmed.

Might be nothing big, might be something monumental...

Is there an avian veterinarian in the picture? I would urge an examination.

Good for you for reaching out!

a visit to the vet should happen anyway if you haven't gone to one before. With the head bobbing it does sound like regurgitating but if you aren't sure the only thing a vet visit can hurt is your bank account

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Welcome to the forums!

I too would be concerned. How long have you had this bird, and has this occurred again since your first post?

I just got back from school and checked the tray with her droppings. I don’t see anything alarming, just poop and seeds. Her poop looks fine and she’s not showing the usual signs of illness (lethargy, fluffy feathers etc.). She’s very active and is shredding through her toys per usual. I got her a month and a half ago and she hasn’t thrown up or regurgitated until now. She’s around 4 months old

Do you have a gram scale to monitor her weight?
