I've read through the forums, and there is a wealth of information on this site. Me, my boyfriend and daughter recently brought a beautiful, and very independent indian ringneck into our home and he/she is doing good I think. I enjoy going out and finding her different wood to perch on, and have just recently started taking her out in the yard to explore. We were told she was twelve weeks old when we got her, and she's powder blue with dark brown eyes. Though they're getting lighter. We've noticed we can see her pinning now, when we couldn't before. There are so many threads that I've found so useful, not to mention articles and links. I've got a question about behavior so I'll go for now and hopefully get to that later. Thanks everyone. :blue2:

When you are taking her out is she harnessed/in a carrier? Even if she's clipped she can still fly to a degree and be carried away by the wind. Safety first.

Welcome! IRNs are my dream birds. I’ve always wanted one because they have so much personality and their learning abilities are remarkable. Truly beautiful birds. Good luck with your new birdie! Would love to see pictures. I’m also looking into a turquoise IRN, if it turns out to be male. If not, color doesn’t matter much to me. Lol. Just would love an inquisitive soul around. So pictures please!
