Ola, welcome! I believe these beauties are Orange-fronted Conures or Parakeets, in English. What a gorgeous bird. I'm so glad you're in our community.
There's so much to share and learn here!

Welcome!!!!

I believe that your bird is called a lot of different things here in the United States, but most commonly they are called a "Half-Moon Conure", or an "Orange-Fronted Parakeet" or "Orange-Fronted Conure", as Gail already mentioned...My mother used to breed these guys and we called them/advertised them as Half-Moon Conures. They are awesome little birds, very much a Conure species, with a Conure personality and disposition...extremely friendly, cuddly, and clingy!

I have always love the Half-Moon Conures, and though you don't see a lot of them, they do pop-up occasionally. I don't know if there are any other members that have one or not, but I'm sure if there are they'll soon come around to say hello!!!

Thank you EllenD! Actually "aratinga canicularis" is the scientific name. Here in México are often called "periquito atolero". And yes i couldn't agree more, she is indeed a pretty sweet bird.

Yes, I wasn't sure if you called them by the scientific name in Mexico or not (if I'm being honest, I know very little of your culture, including your relationships with parrots). It's not every day we get someone using the scientific name for their birds, lol. Very cool...

Again, welcome! I just noticed your Hermes looks to be in need of a nail clip! The rule of thumb(toe) is when standing on a flat surface, the toe should be able to be flat.
Here is an example:

Currently I have none, but I have the capacity to adopt a minimum and maximum of two budgies - preferably a bonded pair or two males.

AHHH!!! "Brown Throat", correct? I'm learning quite a bit today about my Half-Moon buddies! I had forgotten that they separated the Suns and other similar Conures from the "Brown-Throated" species...
