Good morning all!
So I did a thing this morning...a huge thing...I bought (rescued) a B&G. He's 31 and fairly wild? I am able to handle him, rub his head and back (sometimes), he is a talker (sometimes), and he's come from a really bad situation. His first owner died of cancer a few years ago. The young lady I got him from found him padlocked in a dog cage in a closed room. He was gross and covered in feces. The young lady has had him 3 years I think and says he looks MUCH better. He's got bright color and an overgrown beak. He is eating crap food (from Wal-Mart) and now he's home with me.
I do have experience with birds, I have an African Grey, but I've never had a macaw. I will leave him alone this weekend, most of us are going camping anyway, so he will have time to settle in. He's got a huge, beautiful macaw cage, so that's good.
What have I done? LOL
