Good Evening Everyone,

I joined this forum because from what I can tell, the people on this site are very knowledgeable about these beautiful creatures, and how to take care of them.

I will hopefully be getting a Conure, in the upcoming months, but first I want to gain as much knowledge as I can. I have been looking at Sun, GGC, and rimson- Bellied Conures.

I'm sure many of you have them, is there some advice that you could give me?

Thanks,
Nat <3

Welcome! All three are wonderful companions! The Sun can be VERY loud! The other two are GCCs! The ‘chrismon’ belled conure is a GCC!

Welcome to you! This is a great place to do some research - lots of good threads in the conure sub forum, and of course, feel free to ask any questions you have :).

Welcome aboard, Nat! Thanks for joining, so much to learn and appreciative you seek knowledge!!

Some good places to start include the "sticky" threads in the General Parrot, General Health, Parrot Food, Recipes, Diet, Behavioral, and Training forums. I am not familiar with conures, but know they are extremely popular. A good rule of thumb is to allow the parrot to "choose" you once the choice is roughly narrowed. Much easier to bond with a companion that takes a special interest in you.

Good luck, ask any questions along the way!

Basically, I've graduated in accounting. And, going to back to school for my Masters. I have a dog here, and he's pretty chilled out because he's a cute little old man.

Other than that, and for a good portion o f the day, Ill be home.
