Green Cheek Conure
Hello Everyone!

I am a new member to Parrot Forums. I have had a variety of birds for many, many years from parakeets, to finches, to canaries and lovebirds. Currently I have an 18 month Green Cheek Conure we call Booboo who we've had for just over a year, and two parakeets each about 5 or 6 years old. This is my first Conure.

Looking forward to gaining more knowledge about Conures.

All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)

( I also love to read up on connures, I have 1 friend who has one- and that is all the experience I have with them)

Thanks for all of your welcome posts!

I learned today that my sweet Booboo may have boraviarus! I brought my little sweetie to the vet today because all of a sudden Booboo's behavior changed. Very quiet and not animated as usual. We're having blood testing done to determine whether it is boravirus or something else. Not eating as usual and having some neurological issues. So sad! I'm hoping that we can remedy this with medication. Seems that my Booboo may have contracted this before coming to us. Hoping for good news.
