Welcome Conner and Maxwell! Where you post questions will depend on what sort of questions they are although I don’t think the rules are all that strict:) There are threads particularly for conures but also others covering off training, health care, cage set up, behavioural issues, all sorts of things. I think you’ll find your questions will receive answers wherever you post them as everyone here wants the best for our and fellow member’s birds.

And we love pictures here too so get snapping!

Again a very warm welcome to you both!

Well i think you could happily post either under “Conures”’or “Behavioural” threads. There are plenty of conure lovers here so I’m sure someone will chime in with helpful advice.

I posted about its problems in the Conures section, Tami, I love African greys so much they are my favorite bird by far, i originally wanted one but they aviary said that they are not great for large families, I was devastated when I heard that. I stopped wanting a bird for a few months after that, But ended up getting attached to a baby conure :)

Hi Conner,

welcome and well done with asking.

In my not-so-humble opnion: greys can be great in large families: they *are* flockbirds at heart.
They may have the reputation of being single-person birds, but that is just how they are raised by humans most of the time.
(All my greys sofar- even the ones that came here for a holliday- did great as a flockbird, even if they were pairbonded with a certain human. Just as long as they get to do things more or less on their own time and are not forced into things -> but that is almost every parrot *ever* ;) they loved it. )

Welcome. I'm so glad you're here!

I like Christa's remarks! About that advice from that breeder... wellllllllllll... I shrink from broad generalizations like that. Every parrot is unique, like ever person. But it sounds like you're in love with Maxwell, so I am excited for you!
