thank you for your welcome I am excited about being a member. my name is marie I am in my 60's and I own a 3 1/2 yr. old blue and gold macaw named domnica! she is not a pet but a member of our family. we have owned her since she was 8 months old. when she turned a yr. old we built her a perch so she would no longer have to be in cage and it has worked out perfectly, although I have to say it has been a trial and error type of project building a stand to withstand a macaw! 
. we r on our 5th stand! our hobbies r our animals and grandkids. we also have a pitbull, Chihuahua and cat and they all love one another. I want to be a part of this forum because may just maybe I can find ways to take care of our lil girl a lil bit better!
