19 year old ACG
Hello,

I am not new to parrots. I had a White Front Amazon for 25 years, had to put her down due to kidney disease. :(

I just adopted Paco a week ago and we are getting to know each other. He is 19 on a seed diet, he loves his veggies and fruit.

Will be enjoying advice and suggestions from everyone!

Welcome to the community!

I'm very sorry for the loss of your White Fronted Amazon, they are such sweethearts, they are one of my personal favorite species of parrots...But so are CAG's! (I'm assuming that Paco is a Congo African Grey and that's what you mean by "ACG"; if not and I'm just a moron then I apologize, lol...I grew up with a male CAG, we got him as a baby when I was 9 years-old, and my brother is now 32 years-old and lives with my mom and stepfather. They're amazing birds, so intelligent that it sometimes still scares me, lol...

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Welcome to you and Paco, thanks for sharing your story. My deepest condolences for the loss of your White Front Amazon.

Greys are incredibly intelligent and responsive, and you are in the midst of the "honeymoon" phase. They typically don't enjoy change, will be interesting to see how he adapts.
