Finnegan is a 1.5yr old blue Quaker parrot, who is a ball of sass, fluff and snuggles. He loves getting scratches while lying on his back, loves chillies and native Australian browse. We enjoy doing recall and trick training (wave, shake, turn around). We are hoping to welcome a White Bellied Caique into our family in the future. Any hint, tips or info on WBCs would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome and be welcomed. While not specifiic to WBC, introducing a second or more parrot into your flock can have one of 3 outcomes. 1. They get along well, so well that they bond wth each outher and tend to cut you out. 2. They HATE each other and one bites theother to prove domminance of the flock, Then you have to only take one out at a time . 3. They ignore each other and each maintians their relationship with you. And there is no way to tell how these birds will react toeach other. Caiques hav the rep of not being a a good second parrot, more of an original parrot,if more then one will be in your flock. They have the rep of really being aggressive to other parrots if they are not the original pet. Does that mean every WBC maks a bad choice as a second parrot? No, each bird has their own personality, your WBC ould be a happy, hopping, clown as WBC are know for. Roll the dice my friend. But make sure you want a second parrot for the right reasons. Def not because your Quaker needs a 'friend'.
