I am devastated.

All I wanted to do was provide a great home for my budgie and some companionship but I'm afraid my budgie may be unwell.

As some of you may know, I've came here before with concerns about Goose's health, as I found her laying down on the bottom of her cage several times. I took her to the vets immediately and they gave me some bulking up powder as they thought she was underweight, though I feared that wasn't the only reason for her illness.

Though I haven't found her laying down at the bottom of her cage anymore, she's still a bit underweight and not has a brown spot above her beak. Goose can't get a break :(

Does anyone know what this is/could be?

I'm trying to do everything right, I have no idea what I could be doing wrong except maybe not spending enough time with her (about 4 hours next to her cage) - though I dont think that could cause this

Thank you again for your continued support and feedback. I look forward to reading any replies

Thats not good Diana, there is a large possibility there is something sinister underlying these issues
The vet really should not have just given her bulking up powder
Those sorts of things are usually for recovery treatment, not direct illness treatment
Further more in depth tests should be done if you have the money
Thanks

Is she sneezing a lot? Is the area around her ceres wet?
Seriously consider finding a true Certified Avian Vet.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
I am unfamiliar with budgies and cannot interpret coloration changes. However, sometimes the science of basic blood lab work is revealing. Highly recommend you take Goose to a certified avian vet (or equivalent) for more precise analysis of the symptoms.

Please keep us advised!!

Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
You need to get her to a better vet--if at all possible...This one sounds like an exotics vet (not a CAV---which is what you need).
