searching for a Solomon Island eclectus just weaned... found some sub-species 8-9 months old and older... also found some ripoff's advertising... only to find that the address does not match, and they want money etc..

but I think by spring I should have one or a pair?

WELCOME WELCOME!

I wanted to chime in: ONE- If your goal is to have a friend/companion....Also, aside from your bird bonding less with people when another bird is around, there is the issue of mating/aggression/egg-binding and a host of other expensive/behavioral/medical issue that can accompany 2 birds of the same species and housing them together (even in the same house)....

Have you had parrots before? I am guessing you know about how complicated the eclectus dietary requirements are (all fresh, no pellets etc etc).
