Hi. My parakeet Buddy sleeps with his head dropped really far down and sometimes even sleeps at the bottom of the cage. Anyone else's parakeets do this? I get really worried he is unwell but it's how he sleeps and has been for months doesnt seem unwell when hes awake hes actively flying about eating drinking etc. Any advice would be appreciated thanks :)

By dropped I mean drooped it autocorrected. He perches and his head droops even lower than the perch

My Rickeybird sleeps like this sometimes!

If the vet visits are showing good things, I guess it's okay. I would also ask the vet...

Doesn't it look goofy? :)

This is after he got half way bk up, think birds have a sixth sense he was fast asleep! If u imagine his head being lower than the perch that's how much it was drooped

Sometimes Psephotus grass parrots do that, as well as Neophemas
It's not uncommon to see them sit on the perch really low down and the head dropping a bit
Thanks
