Questions about bird diet...

I have 2 mix breed cockatiel african grey parriots
I have a question I have a mixed pair of cockatiels with part african grey do they need anything special they love to dance and sing to music but is cockatiel food the right thing I'm not sure there getting everything they need I got them when my daughter turned 5 shes 9 now almost 10 and they where about 2-3 when I got them and I swear there getting bigger

Excellent links provided above by Tami. I just wanted to ask if you could post a picture of your birds. Cockatiels cannot mix with African greys, so I'm curious as to whether they are a sub-species of cockatiel (most likely) or just African grey parrots.

Either way, it's a good idea to feed fresh fruits and veggies in addition to any mix you're feeding them. And if that cockatiel mix is filled mostly of seeds, you'll want to convert them to either pellets or a veggie and fruit chop as their main meals. Seeds are good in moderation, and cockatiels can have a bigger proportion of them in their diet as compared to greys, but no parrots should have seeds as the main staple of their diets. They're too fatty.
