Hi, I'm new to this site and hope someone can help with my issue.I have a 30 year old umbrella cockatoo i've had since she was a chick. She recently stopped eating a concoction of food I make for her that she's been eating since i've had her.She still eats her seed and monkey chow from her dish along with the fruits and veggies rice pasta scrambled eggs almonds but again not as much as she usually does. There have been no lifestyle changes and I'm waiting for bloodwork results from the vet.If anyone has had this problem please let me know. Thanks

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Welcome to you and your U2! Kudos for seeking early veterinary intervention. Reduced appetite can be a sign of illness, and lab results may prove helpful. Has her level of activity changed?

Frequent weighing of a parrot at a consistent time is helpful diagnostic tool. If you do not have a gram-sensitive scale, they are reasonably inexpensive.

Parrots can become bored with their diet, but you describe a consistent reduction of intake. Depending on vet findings, it may be helpful to vary by adding new items. Easier said than done depending on personality!

Please keep us updated!

Fully agree with Scott, please set an appointment ASAP with your Avian Medical Professional.

Just an FYI, check the freshness of what you are feeding your Too.
