Female 4 year old African Grey
I've recently gotten a 4 year old female (what the people told the bird place when they left her) African Grey. I absolutely adore her. Ive wanted one my entire adult life! Ive owned other birds before. I dont know very many bird people so I'm looking forward to this forum.

Welcome to the forums! Congratulations on your new grey. They're remarkable birds, and I've dreamed of having one since I was a kid. Sadly, in my adult life, I never met one that was a good fit. Well, I did finally meet a very sweet girl, but I'm not able to take on another bird right now. I have a male Ekkie and a female YNA and they demand all the time I have :)g

Looking forward to hearing about your girl, and we love pictures if you'd like to share. This is a wonderful place with lots of helpful, knowledgeable people, happy to help answer whatever questions you might have. So glad you found us!

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Welcome and congratulations, Greys are wonderful companions. Mine is a Timneh, the smaller and less colorful species.

I happen to run across your post and had a chuckle. 20 years ago I wanted an Ekkie and ended up with a Grey. :grey:
