This is too funny not to share. So a few moments ago I heard some kind of commotion from the other room, then one of my cats, Polly comes racing into the living room like the dogs of hades are on her tail! She had somehow managed to get her back legs and rear end stuck inside a plastic grocery bag and was running for her life from the monster that was "chasing" her! She ran into the bedroom to hide under the bed from her attacker. I pulled her out, saved her from the monster, and gave her some love and a snack.

Very funny... lol... Reminds me of a joke about a mini and a high powered car.. They forgot the cable, and the mini kept up with the high powered car... The video was quite funny, as yours would have been, had to recorded it...

LMAO !! Cats are really amusing arent they ? I bet after you rescued her , she was like " I meant to do that ". Poor Polly lolol.
I have a cat that thinks she is a dog. She will terrorize one of my younger dogs , she will sit by the stairs and not let her pass. I have to go up and rescue her from the "mountain lion". lol.
Four of my dogs are black and white border collies , well one's a tri , but blends in well , and the cat is black and white , so when they are all together , its really hard to tell which is the cat , lol. She just gets in the mix of everything :)

Polly thinks she's a dog too! When we get home from work at night, both dogs and Polly greet us at the door. My other cat, Draven, is absolutely certain he's a cat though. (and not just some housecat, he's a mountain lion too! LOL)

I usually have a following wherever I go around the house ( 7 dogs , big house ) and you get pretty used to it. But at night , the only one that will follow be around is the cat , lolol. The dogs know when your in for the night and they all go to their respective sleeping spots , but Maya is another story , she needs to go around with me to shut the house down and them once I'm in bed , she curls up right under my chin , lolol.. I love her :)

My old cat , long gone now ,lived to 24 years old !! Used to wait at the window for me to come home from school :) Once he saw me , he would run to the door and meow like crazy . My Mother knew I was home then :)
He was truly a "cat dog". He was allowed in the yard and my Mother used to work three doors down in a Church , so it was all gardens in between the houses and the church rectory , so my cat used to wait for her to come out from work and walk her home , lolol. He wasnt allowed to do that , but once in a while he would go exploring the other gardens.
He also snacked on my neighbors goldfish , so we had to put a stop to his excurions :) We had a little note left on our door that said Pumpkin was fishing in his pond and was wondering if we could talk to him about it , lolol. :p

This very same thing happened to my cat only the bag was on the front end. He ran around and bumped into walls because he could not see them. I stopped laughing when that happened. He went to kitty heaven being in fear of any plastic bag.

My cat thinks she is the Supreme Being. She is the most possessive animal I've ever owned, lol! I can't even go to the bathroom without her coming along and jumping into my lap! I feel like I'm living with the Cat Police. And she expects everyone she sees to drop everything they are doing to pet her. We are all supposed to bow to her magnificence.

A cat I used to have, Ally, loved to follow everybody to the bathroom. She would even push the door open to jump into the lap of guests trying to use the toilet! LOL

Ally was my favorite kitty every (shhhh don't tell the others), 2 1/2 years ago she became sick and the vet found a tumor, I didn't feel it was fair to put her through surgeries, chemotherpathy, etc, make her miserable just to give myself more time with her, so sadly we had to put her to sleep. But I have many fond memeories of her!

Don't get me wrong, I love her to death. She is a very good cat for a sick person like me because she is stuck to me like velcro. And she is very easy to take to the vet because as far as she is concerned he is touching her to examine her, and that's what she wants, lol! But, yes, sometimes she won't let me get up. She grabs hold of me, I work her claws out of my clothes, then she gives me a nip on the back of my thigh when I stand up. Then she comes after me and either tries to stop me from walking, or grabs my ankle and chomps down. I'm convinced if she were a man I'd be chained up in a closet.

I think you made the right choice, RioMom. Sometimes we have to make very hard choices that are in the interest of our companions rather than our own feelings.
