Does your dog hate your bird?

Clover (green cheek conure)
My dog hasn't tried to do anything to hurt the bird but I noticed he leaves the room if the bird flies across too close to him. Once my conure landed on the dog who got off the chair and left the room as I took the bird off of him. To be honest he does ignore the bird but I think he is also repulsed and annoyed with it ( I know a strange thing to think).

American Bulldog Mix,
My dogs loved my bird and often tried to get her to chase them (a miserable fail). They also covered her in kisses and let her stand on their backs,

Pinto is very jealous of Gilbert. He leaves him alone if i'm not around, but if i am there, he tries to pounce on him. He will also stand on the sofa in front of Gil's cage and bark at him for getting snacks.
Kisses, on the other hand, defends Gilbert. Kisses is Pinto's mother and that alone is so funny. The one dog is barking and pouncing and getting bothered while the mama dog runs in to defend the bird and scolds her son.
Kisses is obsessed with Gilbert. She watches over him almost like he is her baby and she needs to protect him. I still don't let her have too much time w/him because i'm afraid if he just suddenly decides to nip her and she gets scared and freaks out and nips back, it could be ugly!

My dog is mildly curious about the birds, but otherwise ignores them. If he realized that Charlie chases the cats, and one of the cats chases him (and he's 75-80# of 1/2 Akita and possibly 1/2 pit...), he'd be terrified of Charlie! :D

Both my dogs (110lb AmBull & 80lb AmBull Pit Mix) have become EXPERT scavengers around the birds' cages AND Java Trees. :54:

I don't ever allow them to "interact" simply because an accident can happen in a blink of an eye. Do I trust my dogs? Yes, I do. Do I trust my birds? Hmm...maybe not so much around the dogs. ;) I'm sure if either of them had the opportunity (the birds that is), they wouldn't hesitate to nip the hairy ones, and I just don't want to let that happen. :)
