So we've been scattering seed and vegetable peels and stuff outside the living room window because Kiwi seems to go crazy over all the little squirrels and birds and other little woodland critters it attracts. Check out the visitors we got today:11: I see plenty of deer on the trails and stuff, but these were LITERALLY right out front of our window!

I've been told bears and other large predators haven't lived in this area for a long time (hunted out). I wouldn't be concerned if one did show up. i think those little black bears are a lot less vicious than the bobcats and mountain lions that would occasionally turn up on your porch back in Arizona.

And I would just LOVE to have the couch positioned right in front of that window. Unfortunately (not naming names here) but a certain individual blocks a good part of the view with his cage and play-tree because said individual is spoiled rotten and demands the best view because he is amused by the wildlife:09:
