So I'm getting there, its now half full, and will be filling the rest once I'm back home, at the moment I have a Pleco catfish, two Oscars, my albino tiger Oscar I named Oscar (I know typical lol) and the black tiger is Eric Carman, Luke named him lol. I have six convict cichlid's, which two of those have just laid eggs last week, which yesterday just hatched, I'm gonna say at least a hundred, most likely many more. And I also have two angels in there which will be moved as soon as I notice any aggression towards them from the Oscars or convicts.
Here is the tank half full, I've also only put 20kgs of black sand in there, it obviously wasn't enough, and im waiting for work to get me the rest in, I reckon ill need another 20kgs, the tank it 6ft, and really wide, waiting on the rest of my driftwood, and plants as well, so once its super pretty and full with water ill put up some new pictures!
The other two photos are of Oscar when I first brought him home, in his old tank, the other photo is of Eric, his a little smaller then Oscar, sorry about the crappy quality photos, phones camera isn't the best lol.

I'm in the middle of setting up another tank at the moment for my angels, they won't be in there much longer and they haven't been a problem yet.
Convicts and Oscars go fine together, I've had fish all my life, Oscars and many other cichlid's, also constantly in touch with a fish specialist who owns quite a few forms, and works at an aquarium, and breeds cichlid's. His agreed that the convicts and the Oscars will be fine together, I've done extensive research myself, and always had convicts with Oscars, had some in a tank together for ten plus years till I had to move and sell them.

That sure is a fancy tank! Don't those oscars get HUGE? I think that was the kind of fish my my friends had (though his was black or brown in color) and it was the size of a hand:11: Will be interested to see your tank once it's all put together:)

i agree that the oscars shouldnt go with angels, but your moving them. how many gallons is the tank? oscars not only get huuuge, but produce a lot of waste. same with plecos(i have seen a pleco over 3 feet long). when they are all full grown they will have a huuuuuge bio-load and each need a lot of space. you will have to have a very good filter

Nice! :) I used to be very into aquariums. I haven't had one for a pretty long time though.
The very first tank I ever got was a salt water tank... Then shortly thereafter got into the reefs. Huge learning curve starting out with saltwater tanks. Like going from a Budgie to a Moluccan Cockatoo  but I learned :) Only briefly experimented with African Cichlids, but had fresh water tanks of various types, fancy goldfish, and a Rainbow tank.
