Soooo I just named my black milk female! Her name is Vera:)

I just have to name the beauty snake and the white sided rat snake and everyone will finally have a name! They are both males if anyone wants to make a suggestion...

She's very pretty! I like the name Eve. Unfortunately I have no suggestions. I'm terrible at naming pets.

Is Eve okay? So the cloudy eye is just the old skin? I thought I recall you said she had something wrong at one time? I love her color and markings!

Eve is pretty. It's so weird when they go white. I'm guessing they don't have eyelids if their eyes go white too? My reptiles all have eyelids, so their eyes do not go white. Do snakes eat their skin like lizards do? Leo always eats his skin, and Tiffany always did too (even Mr. Newt eats it when he sheds, though I have never actually seen him shed, but I never see shed skin either so I assume;)).

Yes she is fine. The cloudy look is the eye cap that will be shed. When you see a snake in person about to shed their whole body looks dull. The other thing was the temps not being correct because of a faulty rheostat causing her to throw up her food. She has kept down a couple meals now so not worried about that anymore!

Tried to get a picture of one of the shed eye caps. Harder then I thought it would be since they are so thin they looked nonexistent in most pictures. This is one of Cordelia's sheds.

My white sided on the other hand somehow damaged a portion of his scales. He just finished a shed today and the damage was about two days ago. Looked like he got himself caught on something or tried to squeeze somewhere and ripped of a portion of his shed too early. So he has some scales that he scrapped up. Hopefully it doesn't scar and he will look normal again after a couple sheds.

I haven't seen a snake eat their own skin and no eyelids just the caps or spectacles whichever term you want to use. Eves eyes were pretty much white and blue but it was hard to get the picture to really show what they look like when shedding. They do have some trouble seeing as well when they are shedding so they can be a little more defensive though Eve just goes with the flow....she'd never survive outside lol
