Hahaha so yeah I figured out how to fit two more but now I really can't fit anymore until some big snake cages come in...that would open up room of course...

I saw this guy online and he reminded me of a cow for some reason...he was kind of cute so I had to figure out how to fit him right?! RIGHT?!

He is a 2013 50/50 California King. The colors on him are actually brown and a kind of cream color.

Then, there may have been a little one from the same breeder that I couldn't resist...I only had to pay shipping once...that's a good reason to add her on to the purchase....:54:

She is a 2015 albino grey rat snake. She is a tiny tiny baby.

Lots of snakes...

I may have a problem:11:

You just "might" have a slight case of MSS Victoria!! Your new additions are beautiful as are all your snakes.

They're all squared away so nice and neat... sure there's room for more :D

What cutie patooties! I seriously have to stop looking at your snake threads before I get hooked on them again ( I mean seriously obsessed ), but then again, this is the closest I'll ever get to owning one haha!

Ok - I am not in to snakes but I don't hate them and I don't think I will start getting them now. BUT that "cow" snake is the cutest thing. I would just love to give him kisses. Do you give snakes kisses?

Hahaha and none of those are my big one that is upstairs!

Julie don't encourage it....but maybe if I get rid of the dresser....:p

The one sitting on top of the one in the middle doesn't require heat which is why that works without issues. My black milk, Vera, was on heat with a thermostat but it was never on so I didn't see the point. Her highest temp should be around 75 so I just leave her off heat since the house stays around that temp anyway.

Lol this is so cool!! Looks like my tarantula area. :)

Thanks! Spiders freak me out...though I will look at them in the reptile stores sometimes.

I want pics of the tarantulas!!!!

Hahaha I stuck them in my purse since we had to go into a store after picking them up from fedex. I didn't want them to overheat obviously so into the purse they went...my uncle joked I should have let one of them peak their head out of my purse in the store to watch people jump:D

I'll have to get a group shot at some point...a nice big bin with a bunch of snakes:)

Lol this is so cool!! Looks like my tarantula area. :)

I was smiling... then I read this.

Hahaha wait till pictures are posted of those..I'll be cringing right with you:p

I'm a bad influence! I know of a couple breeders now that I can recommend though....:54:

I don't give any of mine kisses...but you could since all of mine are nice. The one I would be careful of is my white sided he can be a bit of a brat. The kingsnake is really friendly though from what I have seen so far!

You know I have 4 snakes without names now! These two and my white sided and the big chinese beauty...1 girl and 3 males....

Well, how about "Brown bull" or just "bull" for the "cow" snake?
I like "Holy cow" but that might offend some people.

What are the names of your other ones? Is there a theme? How did you come up with the other names for your snakes?

Ivy, female motley sunglow cornsnake - She was named that since I had just gotten an ivy plant and the name Ivy seemed to fit. The plant died...the snake is still alive:p

Cordelia, female striped bloodred cornsnake - I had trouble naming her but then an episode of Angel came on and Cordelia seemed right!

Riddick, male butter cornsnake - Named after my big burmese python that passed away 5 years ago. My burmese was named after Riddick from the chronicles of riddick the movie.

Eve, female Axanthic Blonde Phase Trans-Pecos Ratsnake - The name seemed like a typical snake name and fit her for some reason or another.

Vera, female black milksnake - Firefly anyone?? I love that tv show and Jayne is my favorite. Vera is what Jayne called one of his guns.

My other two snakes that I don't tend to take pictures of these days...

Catty, female Ball Python - Honestly I can't remember how this name came about...it was over 10 years ago now!

Lucky, female Red Tailed Boa - My first big snake since my mother said she was d*** lucky that I was allowed to take her home:D

So the new king ate already! I usually wait till they settle in for a week before trying to feed but once he smelled the feeders he darted right up to the side of the cage watching me feed everyone else. He ate right away and then disappeared to the warm side. He is going to be a very easy keeper.

Next feeding I'll try the baby but it's too soon for her to eat today.

That's always good to know when you get a new pet that he'll be easy and not too finicky :).

Hmmm so if anyone remembers me saying kings aren't very good beginner snakes....my guy demonstrated why. He tried to bite me twice this morning. He wasn't aggressive about it so I think he was more startled sometimes when my hand touched him. He came out okay but then got bitty when I touched him every once in awhile. Guess we will have to see how he does with some frequent handling.

I'm sorry he seems to be feisty but he did just get through being shipped from somewhere. I hope he is everything that you want him to be. I think you should just call him Cow.

I hope he settles in soon, and calms down (even for a King :)) I also think you should name him Cow. Although he's a boy lol.

He is fairly calm just a little reactive. Usually I wouldn't handle for a little while but since I'm leaving for a few days I wanted to make sure cages were clean. He was very curious about what was going on and was in my way so that's why he came out. He actually doesn't act like a snake that was just shipped. He is pretty settled, curious and sleepinghanging out in the open. I don't really mind if he has some additude issues though I would like him to be fairly nice but I've had worse snakes that's for sure!

Gosh, Victoria, you have NO idea how hard it is for me to see and drool over your magnificent snakes! I'm purposely 'trying' to not open them up or look for too long. I've been wanting a snake for decades! Never gonna happen in my house, unfortunately. The one animal my husband is absolutely petrified of is....snakes. :(

I LOOOOVE your setups for them, and your passion for all of them shines through so loud and clear!! :D
