No question that it takes a huge heart to knowingly take on the on-going medical costs and likely short life.

She is a Munchkin cat and they are quite expensive. A friend of mine is saving up his money to buy one. And yes, they are cute.

There is nothing wrong with her, that is how she was bred.

I'm guessing you didn't watch the video?
This cat has already had to have surgery to improve its quality of life, and due to its genetic disposition, it will likely have ongoing medical costs and a shorter life.

I agree, she looks to be what one would consider a munchkin, but I believe she is beyond the 'normal' or average body type of a munchkin based on her particularly shortened spine and the ratio of scale of her head vs her body. Presumably she is more inbred and also a runt.

Some munchkins that have been inbred have ongoing excruciating pain in their joints leaving them sometimes completely immobile and not even able to use a litter box.

Oh I agree, but unfortunately breeders only have dollar signs for eyes.They market munchkins as a cat who won't jump onto counters.

I often wonder about the quality of life for Scottish Folds as far as their hearing goes.
