Albino or Normal? Which one?

Okay these two are from my first clutch back in 2016. They are both males so neither will be in my breeding projects. My holdback albino and normal far outshine these two, so I’m only keeping one for pet status. I need to sell one of them but can’t decide on which. I’ve asked snake people and besides a list forming on who gets the one for sale and that I should keep them both...there hasn’t been a decision. So I thought I would ask crazy bird people instead of the crazy reptile people

So this one is the first one out of the egg in my first ever clutch. I had planned on keeping him just because of this but then the other one had issues and I had to keep that one longer. This boy is the albino. If anyone remembers back when I posted the clutch hatching...this is the guy that I got a picture of in the egg. The angry face one lol



And this is the normal boy. He was my almost faluire to thrive. I had a hard time getting him to eat consistently or at all sometimes for about a year. He eats like a huge pig now. He would have sold back in 2016 if it wasn’t for the food issues. But now that I’ve had him for 2 years it’s tempting to keep this little pain instead:18:



I’ve been going back and forth for months...so who do you guys think I should keep?

As a crazy reptile person myself, I vote for both, lol...You seem to have a personal attachment to both, so why not? Unless you don't have the space, etc.

How are their temperaments? That's a big deciding factor for me with my lizards...

If it were me, I suppose that would be up to what my future intentions were. Pet only, keep the little FTT guy. For breeding, albino.

Such a hard decision!! Both have good stories behind them and are different. If you realllly can't keep both, personally I vote to keep the albino!

If it is one or the other I would go with whoever you have more attachment to, and who has more attachment to you. Personally from your writing it feels like you have a closer attachment over your normal boy just over the time you spent getting him to eat but you know who who has the bigger place in your heart, and if they both occupy the same space in your heart then I guess you have a duo!

Hard decision, but I say albino. At first I was thinking normal because of the beautiful markings, but the more I look, I think I like the albino even better. Love the orange neck! Plus being your first hatched, that’s a cool reason too.

I do like them both and can’t really imagine selling them to a keeper I haven’t seen around the forums/groups. I don’t have unlimited space but there’s enough at the moment for colubrids. I plan on selling a few of my bigger guys that I just don’t hang out with or mess with.

I have the holdback albino male that almost glows. So this little albino is majorly outclassed haha. I still have their dad too who I’m never selling. The dad is both breeder and pet. He is an awesome little snake!

It really is! If only the little normal never had issues he would have been long gone. My thing is I’m kind of overrun with male beauty snakes at this point. Looking at it from a breeding standpoint it’s ridiculous but from just a keeper (plus yeah attachments haha) I want them all:32:

I just can’t really imagine struggling to keep him alive that first year and selling him to find out some idiot killed him I’ll probably end up with both for awhile longer at the very least lol

If only that first one had been a girl...no debating then I’d have no problem keeping both!

I like the normal second one best, seems cuter in the face
