RIP Hugo (African Brown Headed Parrot) 2 years old, lil Rosie May (Lovebird)
Its been months since I was on the forum. Life tends to take us on journeys that move us off the paths we have grown accoustomed to. A week hasn't gone by that I haven't thought of the forum and the people who I have grown to know and call my friends. This thread is a salute to what a forum like this can do to the lives of our feathered friends as well as the people that own them. I was an active member for many months and the support, friendship and kindness I found here got me through the good and hard times. Logging in everyday was like a breath of fresh air and I not only found support and solace with parrot related topics but the friends I made were their by my side in my everyday walk in life.

I miss this forum so much and want you all to know - old and new members - that I have been truly blessed being actively involved. Even though circumstances make it difficult to still be actively involved I pray for blessings and only the best for each and every member. Unfortanetly my "live-wire" princess - Rosie - decided to go for an adventure and I was unable to find her. I have no doubt that someone needing a companion has found her and she is blessing someone elses life. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about her but she truly was such an amazing bird.

To all my friends, especially my sis and Mishi and Di and "Big Rosie" I will always be so grateful for those months of laughter, tears and comraderie. Maybe one day I will be back with my sense of humour and another "Live wire" Mwah, xxxxx

Hey Sis, the forum misses your great sense of humour, your quirks, and your beautiful laughter whhaaaaaaaaaa,
We have been through so much together, the good the bad and the tears, and the laughter. You are so correct, the forum has changed so many of our lives, beginning with our feathered friends.
Our friendship began with the potty training thread LoL, getting rid of the ants that almost caused you to break your back, not to mention all the wonderful stories we shared about Hugo and Mishka. The many telephone calls, the tears and trana where we encouraged each other, both going through rough times. A "sister" bond was formed, something that can't ever be taken away.
When Rosie came into our lives, a Duracell battery, was placed in our hearts. All the bubbly video's of her, always on the move, never sitting still for once second. She used to tire me out, just watching her.
When Rosie went missing the first time, telephonically the
things we tried, were hysterical......
I remember crying and laughing at the same time. You managed to get her back. Unfortunately this time not. I still pray that my little live wire, is safe, being looked after and loved the way you loved her.
Mishka still calls you .... Jessica... and whistles, says you are a poopall LoL.
Always in my thoughts and prayers sis

Chat soon
Love ya sis

Kisses and love sent your way from Mishi and myself

Oh how us "old ones" have missed our live wire. We have many new wonderful members and birds. Big Rosie is just so full of herself now that she is flighted. I also have a GCC named Cricket who is a lovable stinker as I told Ant. Hope you can visit us off and on to let us know how you are doing. Miss you Jess.
