I am making Persian food again tonight! Yay! My father is Iranian (Persian) and growing up as a child, he used to always make Persian food every Sunday (now, this is Saturday, but my taste buds are still watering!!).

I am going to make:

Polo (steamed Basmati rice)
Khoresh-e lubia sabz (Grean Bean Koresh--meaning "sauce")
Serkeh khiar (minus the cucumbers) (Yogurt and mint salad--with rose petals)

I don't have any Panir (Persian cheese), nor Lavash (flat bread), nor torshi (pickled eggplant) :( :( :( , but, we will make due without it! (Gosh, I love going home and having a full blown Persian meal!).

Anyway, *rumble, rumble* goes my tummy! What kinds of ethnic foods do YOU enjoy?? :47:

When we lived in Denver (Denver proper, within the city limits, not in a 'burb), we were in a largely Hispanic and Italian area. It was absolutely, positively heaven -- I love different cultures! We had authentic Mexican food toooooo die for! I like TexMex too ... and, yeah, there is a difference ... but both are very good :)

Im a fan of Italian, Mexican, sometimes TexMex (if made at home - no Taco Smell for me no way eww), Chinese, Japanese, Indian, also 6 Nations type fare, Greek, Australian / New Zealand type foods (but havn't tried vegimite), and then of course Comfort food. :)

How RUDE of me! I actually am inviting all of Parrot Forums' Family to come and join in the eats n treats! But, we will most definitely need a belly dancer to "set the mood" for us ... ummm, Peta, would you do the honors?? :p

(Don't worry, *I* still will do the dishes ... but ONLY if Peta belly dances!) LOL
