I'm been thinking lately that an Engineer just isn't really for me. So in a few years I think I will go back to school. I'm looking into Vetrinary Medicine or Zoology. I'm very excited and thought I would share this news.

I wish you all the luck on this Tracy, I'm sure you'll do great in whatever you decide to do.

If you ended up in Vetinary, would you specialise in birds, or everything?

Good Luck to you and let us know what you decide on. :35:

I could see Tracy specializing in exotics, especially b/c she seems to really like reptiles & small animals too.

You should also check out herpetology. It's a specialized area of zoology that focuses on reptiles & amphibians. I used to want to be a herpetologist when I was in middle scool.

Oooooooo, what exciting news Tracy! Are you currently studying Engineering or working in the field??

Veterinary medicine, zoology ... you would excel at both, no doubt! My best to you!!!

Now that would be great, here in the UK, I don't think we have any vets that specialise in EVERYTHING, its either birds or the small animals or the larger animals. I'm sure you'd do great. :D

People here don't do do EVERYTHING either...that's a little ambitious!! But hey, if you can do it, more power to you :D

good luck to you! I want to be a Zoologist. Except i don't know what field i should do. :D Ya Everything would sure take time, but i think it would definitely be worth it. Its for you because a new vet school just opened in Calgary i think. Or it might have been an older school and just recently started offering it.. either way, at least you wont have to go out of the province. It's extremely hard to get in to Vet school so good luck. You may have better luck getting inn to zoology. But i think if a vet is what you truly want to be its worth the all the hard work. Since you already have a degree I'm sure it would make it easier.

My vet specializes in everything. Only vet I can get that will look at reptiles. I think I would stick more towards small animals and maybe specialize in reptiles, but it is really hard to know right now. Yes finally a vet school is starting here in Calgary in a year. I also have 4 years at another University to go towards getting in. I am planning on waiting a few years and waiting to get settled away and save money, no more student loans for me.
