I'm going to a bird show!!

I've never seen an eclectus, never heard of a pionus and what the heck is a poicephalus?! Is it related to the snufaluphagus? Don't know?! Sooo...my daughter wants to go with me to a show in April, I'm so excited! I've also never seen a caique or a conure, (in life), I have no idea what these birds look like! Not looking to buy, just curious! I'll let you know what I discover!

hi triordan, you might already know this, I just found it myself, but if you go to 'archive' at the bottom of this page then, below 'community', there is 'bird shows and fairs'. That's where I found the show I'm going to attend in my area.

You will be so thrilled! Birds will be everywhere and lots of vendors with good deals on toys, cages, and whatever you could possibly want to buy. I haven't been to one in a long time either, but there is one locally in May, and I'm going to go.

I've been cautioned by a lot of people that you shouldn't buy a bird there because with so many in one building, illnesses get spread. I did almost buy one once though. I met this baby Senegal who just loved me and kept giving me kisses. It was hard not to bring her home.

Oh, and take a lot of money for toys and things, lol!

A good bird show is great fun. Unfortunately, they are getting less and less. So, have a good time. Bring your camera.
