I felt like such an idiot all day yesterday. I've just started on new medicine which will continue to make me drowsy until my body becomes accustomed to it and I'm going to use that as an excuse.
My boyfriend and I were off to get dinner and I saw some girl running across the road in one of those shiny, skimpy, trollop dresses and I said "Oh look, Honey..I guess she works at one of those old fashioned themed restaurants, huh?"
He looked at me and said "Uhm.. Sarah she's probably trick-or-treating."
I just looked at him kind of wide eyed and said wow I'm dumb while smacking myself in the head.
At the restaurant this little girl runs by in this sequined ballerina thing and he says 'wow she's shiny' and I was like "aww.. I bet she just came from her dance recital.. those are so cute, I remember-"
And then I noticed he was laughing his butt off at me again and said oh my god It's Halloween.
After that I just tried not to talk for the rest of the evening for fear of making myself look SO dumb that he'd hit me over the head with a shovel and bury me in a ditch
HEHEHEEHE! Flyte, I will let you use the excuse for the first one, but the second occurrence of the forgetfulness is not acceptable.
I work in a portrait studio and I saw some amazing costumes last night ... I think my favorite had to be the 4 or 5 year-old who was dressed as a U.P.S. man brown shirt, brown pants (the costume was purchased on eBay) and mom even made him a package to carry with him and he had a little clip-board as well ... it was sooooo cute!
I personally love Halloween, I think it's a great time of year ... I am pretty sure that Mac and Hamlet would freak out about all the people at our door, but we weren't home for the neighborhood trick-o-treat the other night ... and besides, last year I made sure I was home, cause I wanted to hand out candy, and we got like 5 kids, 2 of which had to be 15 or so ... Come on you guys, let the little ones have their fun ... you should be out smashing pumpkins or something!
