American Bulldog Mix,
Well, my hubby and I decided on our last trip to Pennsylvania that we wanted to live there! So, here we are making arrangements to move in August!

I have a nanny job for a newborn lined up in a very quaint town in NJ and my hubby will be working at Burger King until better comes along. We are moving in with my Mommom for a few months to save up for an apartment. I'm very excited to move back to the place where I was born and near all my family. I know Erin will love the move because we are only 15 minutes from Bird Paradise, so she will be seeing her sister alot more.

Also, my Mommom owns 5 birds now and I'm sure Erin will love the interaction. None of them are real screamers and not too aggressive (they're handable, but not cuddle bugs), so she won't learn anything bad, but will hopefully rather be teaching them a thing or two and hopefully they will teach her how to talk!

And yes, before any one freaks out all the birds are healthy as can be! My mommom has family over alot so Erin will definitively have some interaction and the family that she has met so far just adores her!

I'm so excited!!!!! We are looking to move into an actual apartment in November or December and we will up our family one more by adding an eight week old Olde English Bulldog as my hubby's Christmas gift! Exciting times ahead!

However, my Mommom is only allowing my fish and bird, so my albino hamster and ferret have to go :( I'm going to miss those suckers. I already have an excellent home ready for the ferret in PA. Just need to find some one for my hamster.

Thanks! I know I don't want to give them up. :( They're both rare and hard to find, especially my hamster and they're soooo friendly and playful.

Good for you! I'm glad you are excited about the move. Sorry about your furry friends though. :( As things stand right now I'll be moving to VA end of next month. My friend has graciously offered me a place to stay with my three cats (and her two, fun times) but her husband doesn't like birds so I need to rehome my gcc :(

Change can be very good, it sounds like you've got the rest of the year all lined out. Congrats!

That's great, but sorry about your conure. I see you have an african grey. What will happen to him? Can your friend's husband meet your birds, after all, all birds are different. Some are real aggressive and wouldn't be allowed in my home, but form experience a bunch are real sweethearts. Any chance he will have a change of heart?

They all found great homes! So it's just my fish and Erin coming along for the ride.
@ Mike Blossom my goffin cockatoo was rehomed earlier last year before I got Erin. She just went from quiet and friendly, to a few squawks that would cease if we opened her door, then more squawks that would cease if we fed her treats, then more squawks that would cease if we held her, and then even more squawks that never ended- whether we took her out and played, just sat with her, gave her treats, etc.
We tried ignoring her -figured her throat would get sore, but nope, she'd gone for an hour straight. Stop or 5-10 minutes and then start again :/
