I would help. I did a bunch a few years back, I think a total of 50 something jars. We had a rather sticky floor! I may do some canning this year, we'll see.

I canned peaches once as a kid with my parents. I was not a fan... I did like eating the peaches months later though. I'm going to have to pass on that invite

I love pears! I have never canned anything but I watched my Mom do it some many times when I was little I should know how. Would love to have a garden here but the soil is mostly rock or clay and we have too many rabbits, deer, etc. to try and keep out.

Mmmm, homemade jerky is delicious. I work in the middle of nowhere in a town that has a lot of avid hunters. One of my regulars brought us in a bag of homemade bear jerky from his latest hunting trip. Boy was that a tasty treat! It tasted like jerky I've eaten before, but the texture was totally different from anything I've ever had.

There are a lot of ways to make jerky. I have never had bear jerky but would try it though. I like the deer jerky with a little bit of a spice to it.

Can't you dip them in hot water? Then the skins just fall off. Or were there THAT many?
