So getting a parrot was my idea and I was the driving force. When I got Suki I insisted that hubby handle her occasionally to make sure she was well socialised and he could look after her if I was away. Guess what! She loves him! She now prefers to be with him and even flew for the first time ever to get to him! She still likes me bit if hubby is there he gets the lovin. Good thing he loves her back or I would have a problem on my hands. Trying so hard not to be jealous though! She was meant to be my bird :'( haha oh well.

Anyone else have this problem? Do you get jealous?

Yep! My Pionus was my first "big bird", I got her as a weaned baby and she ended up LOVING my husband. 5 years later she tolerates me, but has only eyes and affection for him.
It's hard not to be jealous and disappointed..... I got another baby for myself (and a couple after that ;)) and this time, because the Pionus would not allow any other bird around my husband, I didn't have to worry as much and now am bonded with quite a few of my own!! :)

I hope Suki continues to enjoy me. Don't really wanna have to get another bird :'-( but I am happy that last night she flew to me! So yay as long as I stop her being a one person bird it'll be ok. How to do that I don't quite know yet

Rosie loved my brother, at one point she even started biting me if I tried to pet her and my brother was in the room(this took place the first 4months I had her) It made me a bit heart broken, especially because my bro doesn't even like her that much. After that happened I barely let her see lance(his room is downstairs so it's pretty easy), it's cruel to allow her to love someone who doesn't care about her and she barely saw anyway. Now I'm her #1 all the way and she doesn't even like my brother lol

YESYESYES.

Merlin absolutely loves my other half, it makes me very jealous and upset because he's supposed to be 'my' baby. He can still be very snuggly and cute with me etc. Just he usually has a preference, unless he's scared. Then he is most certainly a mommys boy. :)

I just have to let them get on with it, if being with Andrew makes Merlin happy, then that's how it goes. We discourage any mating behaviour etc though.
