how can you stand it

oh my gosh im going nuts i cant stand this waiting for Kenai but i know the reasons why and understand them, however it doesn't help my impatience at all im going insane with the anxiety. if i could live at the breeders house i would, sadly life is to unfair and i must stay at my house and go to work. so i ask how did yall deal with the wait before your fids come home?

haha i understand completely!
i had to wait 3 months for Fargo to come home !
Just keep yourself busy getting prepared and setting up his cage, play gym, toys and reading alot!

there are so many parrot books out there you will never be bored

I love to hear people speak of their anticipation and yearning before bringing home a new baby Macaw. But I'm not cruel... I just know they're in for such an amazingly beautiful relationship and so many memories and so much fun, which will make all the waiting SO worth it (about a million times over!)

Just stay happy because you know what's ahead!

Im not getting a macaw, but im getting a Kakariki and I think I know your pain.

I want him soooo bad. I cant stand waiting! But I visit him every few days and that helps!

Haha I can so relate to this as well, I felt Like I was pulling my hair out waiting for Audrey to get home, I had the cage sitting in my lounge room all set up for 7 weeks before she came haha people thought i was weird! I would just stare at it and watch videos on youtube of eclectus's LOL! I hope the times goes super fast for you!!

Yes its hard and my coworkers think im crazy enough as it is and now im working myself near to death everyday to keep my mind occupied and yet i still think about him. So far ive got the cage set up and will be putting laminate down next week and after that maybe paint my room so i have about a month and a half for the fumes to die down. After that build a playgym and figure out what toys to get for Kenai. Since i live so far away from the breeder(2and a half hours drive) i can only manage every other Saturday

so that puts my next visit at next Saturday. Maybe ill try and ask the breeder if she has found what any of his favorites are yet. The best part of all thus is when im with Kenai i feel completely and utterly at peace with myself and the world. He is a warm feathery drug for me.
