What does "fid" mean? I see a lot of people refer to their parrots as "fids" but I've never actually come across an explanation for the term or what it stands for. I feel really dumb and google holds no help. Searching the forum didn't even turn anything up for me (although I might have done that wrong).

Thanks for enlightening me!

Pritti (Cherry-Head Conure) -- Fly in Peace my beautiful boy. Forever I'll love you.
Great List Monica. Can you make it a sticky so it stays up permanently somewhere.

I would add CHC for Cherry-Headed Conure, unless it's there and I missed it.

I call my parents Pritti's Grandparronts.
