If you could only have one parrot, what would it be? And why.

I would have a blue throated macaw. Because I prefer bigger parrots, like cockatoos and macaws, and out of all of them, I like the blue throated. They are beautiful. I always wish I could have one. :blue1:

Blue & Gold Macaw

Conure
I have various sizes in my house right now one small a conure, one medium an African Grey, and one large a Blue&Gold Macaw but if I were going to seek one out I'd say Ive fallen in love with all the picutres of the Hahns Macaws on this web site. But truly my heart lies with the African Grey they are by far my favorite with so much personality and sass. That being said I wouldn't really know my favorite unless I had one of each species but my husband would kick me out! :)

I am quite happy with Codie.. I have always adored Amazons:)

If I win the lottery one day, then I would love a Hyacinth Macaw and a Greenwing:)

I am currently parrotless but hope to be owned by a parrot in the next few months. :-)
My favorite parrots are macaws and if I had to pick one it'd probably be a hyacinth. I've always loved the bigger parrots and want something big enough that I feel comfortable free flying.

This probably sounds NUTS but if i could have one bird forever, it would have been my Percy (a budgie). He was awesome in every way. HE is responsible for my becoming a bird lover. One of the nicest animals i have ever met.
I also have always had such a fondness for the grays and amazons, each for different reasons.
and that being said, each bird has its own specialness.

What a horrible choice, but if I had to choose one parrot from my OWN flock, it would be Kirby, my male lovebird. I cherish each day with him. I adore tame lovebirds. My personality and their brave, silly, fun-loving, affectionate nature are really a good match for me.

However, of all the birds I've ever owned and/or been around, I think the Rosebreasted cockatoos make the best all-around pets and seem to do really well with captive life and living with humans.

"I'm a blue macaw kinda gal" sorry watching Rio right now, for the 100th time

I'd have to say Greys, Odin is so much fun. But so is our male Eclectus, Greenie is a riot and our Hahn's is a crazy bird. I cant imagine life without any of them now

I love all parrots! My favorites though are probably Macaws (no surprise, ay?) and my favorite species of Macaws are probably the ones I now own. However, one species that I would love to include in my flock, but likely won't anytime soon, is a Scarlet. Unfortunately I think I'm pretty much at capacity here :20:
